L’artista ha realizzato una moto elettrica per percorrere in totale autonomia domestica, con il solo uso della presa di corrente, le stanze della propria casa. La galleria assumerà le sembianze di uno store, dove poter testare il veicolo e allestirlo scegliendone il rivestimento più adatto al proprio arredamento.
Dopo l’esperienza sviluppata a Monotono Contemporary Art a Vicenza, dove si è posto l’accento sull’aspetto installativo e strutturale del progetto – portando a compimento lo sviluppo tecnico di funzionamento della moto – a Pistoia si pone l’attenzione su un altro aspetto della ricerca. La moto diventa pretesto per mettere in evidenza le sue potenzialità di adattamento alla condizione abitativa, le sue capacità di mimetizzazione domestica, di adeguamento alle situazioni.
The artist has built an electrically-powered motorcycle that lets him travel through every room in his home after being charged in a normal socket. The gallery takes on the appearance of a store in which the vehicle can be test-driven and customized with bodies that best match the room’s interior.
After the experience acquired at the Monotono Contemporary Art Show in Vicenza - where the emphasis was posted on the project’s installation and structural aspects that led to the technical development of motorcycle operation – here in Pistoia the attention is placed on another aspect of the research: the motorcycle provides an excuse to illustrate all its potential for adaptation to living conditions, its capacity for blending in with domestic surroundings, and its ability to suit different situations.
