In recent years more and more artists are adopting augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) experiences to enhance their artworks. The general result is a complex and multisensorial artistic experience for the end users. The Italian street artist NemO’s presented this year in "Set Up Contemporary Art Fair", Bologna (from January 31 to February 3, 2019) a significant piece of artwork: a very iconic character. A decorated skateboard was showed in Set Up Bologna and the artist augmented it with a video where NemO's iconic character moves his eyes and a key in his hands. Because of the art fair lights and curve surfaces of the skateboard the AR experience was not working. The skateboard could not animate itself and the public could not reach a higher multi channel artistic experience. This fact can be seen as a urgent necessity to considerate art and technology as a whole body or a unique experiencial system where every element should be considered important. The artwork is not superior to the syntetic and electronic experience. They are both part of a whole emotional appeal the artist offer to visitors, and the interactive part is crucial as the material one.
